Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- C. defixella is a junior subjective synonym of Chlenias arietaria Guenée, 1857, in Boisduval & Guenée, Hist. nat. Insectes (Spec. gén. Lépid.) 10: 239. See also: Ceratucha Turner, 1919. Ciampa was originally proposed in the Pyralidae, but has since been transferred to the Geometridae, where it was placed by Meyrick, 1892, Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. (2) 6: 663. Parsons et al. (1999) included CERATUCHA Turner, 1919; and HYPATA Walker, 1869 as junior synonyms of CIAMPA Walker, 1863.
