Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Geometra punctaria Linnaeus sensu Hübner, [1799] 1796, Samml. eur. Schmett. 5: pl.13, fig.67, which Hübner included in Codonia, is a misidentification; the species represented by Hübner's figure 67 is Phalaena porata Linnaeus, 1767, not Phalaena punctaria Linnaeus, 1758. Under Article 70(a) of the Code, the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission. Parsons et al. (1999) included ANISODES Guenée, 1858; CODONIA Hübner, 1823; COSYMBIA Hübner, 1823; CYCLOPHORA Stephens, 1829; EPHYRA Duponchel, 1829; EUEPHYRA Packard, 1873; LEUCOPHTHALMIA Hübner, 1823; MATELLA Gistl, 1848; PACHYTHALIA Warren, 1897; PISORACA Walker, 1861; PROSTENODES Warren, 1903; STREPTOPTERON Swinhoe, 1892; and ZONOSOMA Lederer, 1853 as junior synonyms of CYCLOPHORA Hübner, 1822.
