| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- The taxon Agathina White was established as a subgenus of the genus Erycina Fabricius, 1807, and White designated as its type-species the nominal species which (as shown above) he had established on the immediately preceding page as a species of the genus Erycina with the name Erycina margaretta. The name Agathina White is invalid, as being a junior homonym of the name Agathina Férussac, 1807 (Essai Méthode conch. : 49), and of Agathina Rafinesque, 1831 (Enum. obj. Cab. : 3). The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). |
