| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- A junior homonym of Curicta Stal, 1861, Ofvers K. VetenskAkad. Förh. Stockh. 18 202 - Insecta, Hemiptera. The objective replacement name is Gatesclarkeia Orfila & Rossi, 1956. When established, Curicta contained a second nominal species doubtfully included. Under the Code, Article 67(h), a doubtfully included nominal species cannot be validly designated as type-species. Curicta was established in the Platydidae, now Noctuidae Ophiderinae; it was placed in the Pyralidae Chrysauginae by Hampson, 1897, Proc. zool. Soc. Lond. 1897: 682. |
