| Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- Declana was originally placed in the Noctuidae. Fletcher (1979) stated:- This genus was originally proposed in the Noctuidae, but has since been transferred to the Geometridae; its first published use in this family appears to have been by Butler, 1877, Proc. zool. Soc. Lond. 1877: 398. See also: Argua Walker, 1863. Parsons et al. (1999) included AMPHITAPE Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875; ANATOSSA Warren, 1894; ARGUA Walker, 1863 [December 19] ; ATOSSA Meyrick, 1883; DETUNDA Walker, 1865 [April 2]; EPICASIS Meyrick, 1885 IPANA Walker, 1858 [October 9]; and POLITEIA Walker, 1865 [April ] as junior synonyms of DECLANA Walker, 1858 [October 9]. Parsons et al. (1999) included 12 species in the genus DECLANA. |
