Werkes Schmett Wienergegend: 121 footnote, 122, is an unjustified emendation and a junior objective synonym of Phalaena litterata Scopoli, 1763, and under the Code, Article 67(e), the senior objective synonym should be cited as the type-species. See also: Goniogramma Mann, 1854; Prodelia Doubleday, [1849]. Shaffer (pers. comm.) treats DIASEMIA in the CRAMBIDAE: SPILOMELINAE.
