Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Dioptis has been used as the original generic name for species which are now in the Agaristidae. Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Included in this catalogue of the Geometridae to show the synonymy of Boisduval's unavailable first use of the genus-group name Phelodes, published by him in 1870 as a junior synonym of Epilais Boisduval, 1870. Phelodes was first made available when published by Felder, 1874, in the Geometridae. DIOPTIS was included within the subfamily NOTODONTIDAE: DIOPTINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999).
