Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Hübner, 1796 Samml. eur. Schmett. 8: 32, pl.34, fig.231, described and illustrated a species of Pyralidae Scopariinae under the name Pyralis crataegella Linnaeus. Leraut, 1982, Alexanor 12: 217, 218, has shown this to be a misidentification of Phalaena crataegella Linnaeus, 1767, Syst. Nat. (Edn 12) 1 (2): 885, now Scythropia crataegella (Linnaeus 1767), in the Yponomeutidae, and that the first available name for Phalaena crataegella Linnaeus sensu Hübner, 1796, is Phalaena lacustrata Panzer, 1804. Under the Code, Article 70(a), the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission. We suggest that the Commission be asked to designate as the type-species of Dipleurina the nominal species actually involved, namely Phalaena lacustrata Panzer, 1804.
