Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- D. desolata is a junior subjective synonym of Honorana aenea Butler, 1882, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. 1882: 365. Distagma was not, originally placed in a family, but was compared with a Noctuid genus, It has since been placed in the Geometridae, Ennominae. Fletcher (1979, Generic Names of Moths of the World) stated:- D. desolata is a junior subjective synonym of Honorana aenea Butler, 1882, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. 1882: 365. The title-page of part 7 of Staudinger's work is dated 1898, but the actual date of publication, January 1899, is printed on page [118], the legend to the plate. Parsons et al. (1999) included ANTYGOPHANES Prout, 1910; DASYSTOLE Warren, 1907; DISTAGMA Staudinger, 1899; LASIOPS Warren, 1895; MICRODONTOPERA Prout, 1910; PSEUDOSALPIS Staudinger, 1899; and SALPIS Mabille, 1885 as junior synonym of MALLOMUS Blanchard, 1852.
