Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Dufayella was established as a subgenus of Nycteola Hübner, 1822, Syst. -alphab. Verz.: 60, 66. Dufayella in the Noctuidae, Sarrothripinae is cited here as it was not included in Nye, 1975, Generic Names Moths World 1. Poole (1989) included SARROTHRIPUS Curtis, 1824; AXIA Hübner, 1825 (preoccupied); SAROTHRIPUS Agassiz, 1847; SUBRITA Walker, 1866; SAROTRICHA Meyrick, 1888; ICASMA Turner, 1902; and DUFAYELLA Capuse, 1972 as junior synonyms of NYCTEOLA Hübner, 1822.
