Memo: Dyrzela Walker, 1858 was treated in the Noctuidae, Acronictinae/Amphipyrinae in Nye 1975, 1 : 168. Dyrzela has subsequently been referred to the Eustrotiinae from the Amphipyrinae within the Noctuidae by Speidel, Fanger & Naumann, 1996, Systematic Entomology 21 (3) : 249. Poole (1989) included DYRZESLA in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE, subsequently restricted to the genus AMPHIPYRA by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Other genera formerly treated in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE are treated as HADENINAE by Kitching & Rawlins (1999). Poole (1989) included MAXILUA Walker, 1863 as a junior synonym of DYRZELA Walker, 1858. Poole (1989) included 11 species in the genus DYRZELA.
