Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- C. falcata is a junior subjective synonym of Macrochthonia fervens Butler, 1881. Eccopteroma when proposed contained a second species, but this was doudtfully included, and under the Code, Article 68(c) is not eligible for designation as type-species. See also: Macrochthonia Butler, 1881. Poole (1989) included ECCOPTEROMA Staudinger, 1892 as a junior synonym of MACROCHTHONIA Butler, 1881.
