| Memo: | Fletcher (1979) stated:- Geometra pictaria Thunberg, 1784, Diss. ent. sistens Insecta Suecica (1): 6, pl., was misidentified and figured by Curtis, 1833, Br. Ent. 10: 447 as Ephyra pictaria Thunberg. Geometra pictaria Thunberg, 1784, is a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena lichenaria Hufnagel, 1767, Berl. Mag. 4: 512. Geometra pictaria Thunberg sensu Curtis is Erannis distinctata Herrich-Schäffer, [1839]. Under article 70(a) of the Code, the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission. See also: Anhibernia Staudinger, 1892. Parsons et al. (1999) included ALEUCIS Stephens, 1850 as a junior synonym of ALEUCIS Guenée, 1845. Parsons et al. (1999) included only 1 species in the genus ALEUCIS. |
