Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- The generic name was originally published as Electrophaës; this has been corrected in accordance with Article 32(c)(i) of the Code by the removal of the diacritic mark. Parsons et al. (1999) included ELECTRA Curtis, 1836 as a junior synonym of ELECTROPHAES Prout, 1923. Parsons et al. (1999) included 28 species and 7 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus ELECTROPHAES.
