Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- Bryk's object in establishing this generic name was to provide a name for what Doubleday ([1847], Gen. diurn. Lep. (1) : 99-100) had denominated as "Sectio 1" of the genus Tithorea which he then established. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). See images at Butterflies of America.
