Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Ematheudes was established for Semnia Guenée sensu Heinemann, 1865, Schmett. Dtl. Schweiz (Abt.2) 1 (2): 199 (but cited by Heinemann as Semnia Herrich-Schäffer, an incorrect authorship). Ematheudes was again proposed by Zeller, 1867 May Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. (3) 5: 459; and 1867 June Stettin. ent. Ztg 28 (7-9): 385. It was established in the Pyralidae Anerastiinae, part now Pyralidae Peoriinae, part Phycitinae; it was placed in the Peoriinae by Leraut, 1980, Liste syst. syn. Lépid. France, Belg. Corse: 110.
