The former British Petroleum microfossil collection

The database represents the microfossil well-run collection resulting from British Petroleum's exploration activities since the 1950s. It holds details of material from over 3,500 individual well runs.

The main purpose of the database is to allow researchers to identify material of interest, based on its geographical location.

Please note that if you're using Excel to work with this dataset, you will need to import the .csv file as text and specifically set the 'Well_Name' and 'Well_Number' column data types to 'text' to avoid corruption of the data.
