| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Invalid type-species: Bombyx colona Hübner, [1803], a nominal species not originally included in Haploa, and not linked with one of the originally included nominal species when cited by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1: 252. In his synonymy of colona, Kirby included Noctua clymene Esper, 1794, a secondary homonym of P. clymene Brown. Kirby did cite P. clymene Brown as a separate species so his designation of colona Hübner was probably an inadvertent error. | |
