Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) included PSILOSCELES in the subfamily OECOPHORIDAE: XYLORYCTINAE, treated by Hodges, in Kristensen (1999) as a subfamily of XYLORYCTIDAE. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Psilosceles was established in the Thalamarchidae; it was transferred to the Xyloryctidae by Common, 1964, J. ent. Soc. Qd. 3: 7, as a junior subjective synonym of Phthonerodes Meyrick, 1890.
