Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Calesidesma Strand n.g. was the spelling used as the heading but was immediately followed by * Calisidesma as the generic name for the new species fraternella Strand. There is no doubt concerning the correct spelling as on page 145 Strand associates his new name with Calesia Guenée, 1852. Poole (1989) included CALESIDESMA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus CALESIDESMA.
