| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- S. pechuelii is a junior subjective synonym of Basiana submarginalis Walker, [1865] 1864, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus. 31: 37, a subspecies of Andriasa contraria Walker, 1856, ibidem 7: 1735. Incorrect type-species designation: Andriasa contraria Walker, 1856, a nominal species not originally included in Devitzia, and not linked with one of the originally included nominal species when designated by Hampson, 1904, J. Bombay nat. Hist. Soc. 15: 638. See also: Andriasa Walker, 1856, and Pseudosmerinthus Butler, 1876. Kitching & Cadiou (2000) list DEVITZIA Holland, 1889; and PSEUDOSMERINTHUS Butler, 1876 as junior synonyms of ANDRIASA Walker, 1856. |
